Hatem Ben Arfa nets incredible solo effort for Rennes to add to his collection of wondergoals
Hatem Ben Arfa’s career has been rather bizarre. He seems to have talent in abundance and yet he’s been ousted by the likes of Hull City and Paris Saint-Germain after failing to live up to expectations.Ben Arfa scored a stunning solo goal against Angers1
Ben Arfa scored a stunning solo goal against Angers
What Ben Arfa unquestionably has in his locker, however, is the ability to score an absolute worldie – and he demonstrated that talent again over the weekend.Playing for his current club Rennes, the former Newcastle man picked up the ball in the midfield before weaving in and out of two defenders. But to make a mockery out of his opponents just the one time wasn’t enough for the Frenchman, so he turned back towards his goal and slalomed through the same players again. The tricky playmaker then seamlessly breezed past two further defenders before playing a one-two with his team-mate and slotting home.Have a look the sensational goal in the clip below…It was a timely reminder of the immense skill he possesses – and perhaps an unfortunate reminder of what he could have been had his attitude been better throughout his career.Nonetheless, Ben Arfa is still playing at a high-level in the French top flight.
