Denis Suarez’s spell at Arsenal appears to have gone down with a whimper after it was announced he will miss the rest of the season with a groin injury.The midfielder joined the Gunners on loan in January to help them make a push for the Champions League spots.

Arsenal are two points off fourth with two games left but Suarez’s contribution has been limited to say the least.He has made just six substitute appearances for Unai Emery’s side, scoring no goals and providing no assists.In an emotional statement on Twitter, Suarez said: “I want you all to know that I will not be able to play again this season.“Some issues with my groin have made things tough since the game against BATE Boris [sic] in the Europa League in February and now they have forced me to stop training altogether.
