Gonzalo Higuain was prolific at Napoli

Higuain equalled a league record for most goals in a single season by netting 36 in just 35 games.The club also finished runners-up behind Juventus in that 2015/16 season.Napoli sold the striker to the league winners the following season for 90million after netting 91 goals in 146 games.Sarri was not happy that his star striker had moved to a league rival but forgave him for the move soon after.Getty2

“I could have accepted it if he had gone to the Premier League,” then Napoli boss Sarri said. “But not Juventus. Going there made his goodbye all the harder.”But Sarri forgave and forgot a move many Napoli fans still view as a betrayal.“It’s a bit like when one of your sons makes you angry,” he explained. “You can rip into them for a few days, but at the end of the day he’s still your son. The 31-year-old scored 55 goals in 105 games for the 34 time Serie A champions but has found himself shipped out on loan this season.He spent the first half of the campaign at AC Milan but completed a loan move to Chelsea on Thursday.He will once again join up with Sarri at the Blues after failing to make much of an impact at Milan.Higuain said the opportunity to work with his old manager again was one not to miss out on.The strikers highlights reel is a sight to behold and this is what Chelsea fans will be hoping their new loan signing can reproduce on the pitch for them.
